Crying minister

Hon Amelia, MP and a minister for trade and industry in Uganda could not hold her emotions and started to cry over the state of abject poverty and poor service delivery the NRM has ushered in for the last 29 years.
The minister was challenged by a 11 year old boy from
Canada in Kafumu sub county in Mpigi district in Uganda at  Namabo primary school, the  todler who raised 50 million from school friends to build a class room block in Uganda .
Well,  know  that the regime has failed miserably on service delivery despite the colourfull statistics they quote. Ironically this same minister served as Principle Private Secretary for the president Yoweri Museveni, for 26 years and she is ignorant of this situation..

At this particular school  school pupils use stones as seats and a mango tree as a shed.
Here is a minister whose docket is trade and industry who should be brokering trade deals, develop and influence life-changing policies for her country and people and not receiving donations. At worst not to cry when the government they serve has failed more so when you are the member of parliament of the area.
The minister rightly said their kids do not study in such schools in deplorable state. Now, honourable minister we await for your next action. Not tears.

There is no news here, that is normal in Uganda, pupils sitting on stones and under the shade. That is a step forward. At least those are able to attend class. But others have no energy, because they have no food to eat, so they can not go to that tree. They instead get pre-ocuppied looking what to eat. You can not sit on that stone to listen to a teacher when you slept hungry and u are not sure what to eat after that class. The solution is to fight poverty and graft not by crying but by action.

Ms Amelia has been, in my view, a vivid actor in the poverty alleviation campaign, so when she breaks down in emotions, its not a bad thing she did, it only shows the dire situation we are in. i know she has done so much on a personal level, she is not the education minister afterall but she was there among those needy people.

A genuine disappointed leader serving a rotten institution would quickly resign in interest of public good.
I'd love to hear the head teacher's speech whom she cautioned not to alter some word.
