South Sudan SPLA -IO acquires sophiscated shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles (SAS) weapon Chinese QW-18 Man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS)
This is a lethal weapon that can destroy any armored vehicles tanks, military aircraft that travels 60,000 feet. It has a precision to accuracy. The guided missile uses “fire-and-forget” technology that allows the missile to home in on targets.
In December 2013 President Museveni gave Dr. Riek Machar Tenyand his followers an ultimatum to surrender in 4 days or else IGAD will come after them after 4 days no IGAD troops arrived in South Sudan bar only the UPDF.
UPDF with all the superior military arsenal of Air and ground power as since spent 1 full year running and maintaining a foreign occupying force in a campaign that was hastily arranged without thorough military plan.
With these new weapon in play the superiority of UPDF`S armored equipment’s in South Sudan will be at level par and this war is not about to end if we don’t negotiate our exit from a political confusion.
