Ugandan members of parliament

Politics, being the art of the possible, really does come down to doing the best for as many people as possible. The first lesson you learn in politics, is that you’ll only rarely get everything you wanted.
Uganda has come to feel the same when elections ushers in a new assembly of members, its like we have handed babies a fully loaded gun.

Hard to tell, but one thing for sure they care about themselves not each other and the real reason that you can not have ten commandments nailed on the corridors of power:
Yon can not post

Thou shalt not steal
Thou shall not commit adultery
Thou shall not lie
In a building full of politicians it creates a hostile work environment.

They pad their expense claims with new:
IPADS
LOAN REPAYMENT COURTESY OF TAX PAYER
NEW VEHICLES @ 110 MILLION
INCREASED PAY
They arrange their slice of the take in companies they’re shilling for by appointing spouses or close family.

Politicians have a misconception not to see spending tax payers money as a problem, because spending tax payers money is what politicians do for a living. If politicians thought there were something wrong with it, they would be in a different line of work.

It’s not like they’re short of money. These guys are all well salaried; fed and watered at our considerable expense. Yet still they cannot control their appetites.
