Propping the devil

We should condemn the US disproprotionate handling of the South Sudan crisis in a manner that appears to favour and give international credence to a side the people of South Sudan seems to have wholesomely rejected.

Recently the National security advisor Susan Rice had a meeting with president Museveni....

In a statement released by ,the National Security Council Spokesperson Bernadette Meehan just released the following statement about a meeting today between National Security Advisor Susan Rice and the Ugandan dictator of 29 years, Gen. Yoweri K.Museveni:

"National Security Advisor Susan E. Rice and Ugandan President Yoweri
Museveni met today in New York City to exchange views on regional
developments. They discussed the devastating humanitarian as well as
regional economic costs of continued conflict in South Sudan. They agreed on the need for the international community and South Sudan's regional partners to work quickly to achieve peace in the face of the intransigence of the country's leaders. Ambassador Rice reiterated the United States' deep concern over the increasing level of conflict in Sudan, specifically the continued conflict in Darfur and the vicious bombing of civilians in Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile States. Additionally, they reaffirmed a shared commitment to advancing regional efforts to defeat the Lord's Resistance Army and continuing cooperation to support the vital work of the African Union Mission in Somalia. Finally, they discussed the important cooperation between the United States and Uganda to counter terrorism and prevent violent extremism in the region."

My perspective is that ,Mr. Museveni is a partisan actor in the war, his action of military invasion of South Sudan to prop up and conceal the Juba regime massacre is the very reason that this war is in its 17 month with little hope of crushing the resistence or one party having decisive advantage over the other.

1.5 million South Sudanese are internal refuges in their own country,SPAL Juba is forcefully conscripting children to beef up the army , allying with rebels of the countries in its proximity and forming allainces with tribal militias to sustain the unpopular regime.

If Kiir and Museveni faction was so popular what accounts for the massive defection of the infleuntial leaders to the opposition sides? Is the US reading this conflict in a totally different angle?

The brief history on Susan Rice is ,she has a reputation of advancing bombing countries as a means of humanitarian intervention in , according to Foriegn policy magazine in 2006 she wrote with former U.S. national security advisor, Anthony Lake, and the late Rep. Donald Payne (D-NJ), which called for air strikes against Sudanese airfields, aircraft, and other military assets, to compel Sudan to allow international peacekeepers into Darfur.

In 1994 the genocide in Rwanda that claimed over 800,000 lives happend in the watch of Susan Rice as Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs in the Clinton Administration, she refused to save life with a short staement "it is an election year" and that is why she did not want the U.S. involved.

So my bottomline Susan Rice`s track record of running humanitarian missions are suspect, Dafurs continue to die in thousands,Rwanda invades DRC with impunity and here she supports Museveni in maintaining unpopular regime in Juba.

I conclude she has no moral campass to support her and the Museveni mass terminator of hmanity,do we forget 5 million people perished in DRC because of Musevenis militaristic adventurs that would last 8 years.
