Condolence message.
Political crime has received a statement from the office of the chairman SPLA/SPLM-IO Dr Riek Machar through the spokes person Cde Nyarji jermlili Roman, about the untimely death of Prof Wani Tombi Lako.
Dr. Tombe was extremely nice and a soft spoken scholar who taught in many university,he was a Professor in the Economics department at St. Edward's University, Austin, TX .
Col. (Rtd). Prof. Wani Tombe Lako Lokitari a native of Greater Equatoria region held the position of Chairman Greater Equatoria Council of Rights(GRECOR).
Condolence message.
The office of the chairman of SPLM/SPLA-IO is hereby saddenly and horrificly announcing the sudden and untimely death of Prof.Wani Tombi Lako who passed away last week in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. The reason of his tragic death remain unknown as the body of the deceased was suprisingly found laying in the apartment by Ethiopian federal police.
His body has been taken to UK, London for postmortem and further investigations to identify the cause of this fatal death. The tragic death of Prof.Wani Tombi is great loss to entire people of Republic of South Sudan at large and the revolutionary movement, SPLM/SPLA-IO in particular. Dr.Wani Tombi is one of the renowned academicians in the whole Sudan and more especially South Sudan.
The office of the chairman express its deepest heartfelt and sincere condolences to the family, relatives, friends and comrades in the movement at this horrible moment. Dr.Wani Tombi was very patriotic, he loved his country and he was so instrumental figure in our movement and his unexpected departure will post big gap in the movenment .
May the Almighty heavenly Father rest his soul in eternal peace..
