Puot is a South Sudanese student .
The project collect one million signatures for resignation of Salva Kiir Mayardit is a collabrative campaign by the South Sudan youth to collect “one miilion signature “ as a way of compelling the current leader, Salva Kiir Mayardit to resign.


Statement

“We no longer see Salva Kiir as the leader of South Sudan due to his actions on December 15th 2013. When he ordered the killing of our civilians based on their ethnicity. The conflict he initiated has to this date resulted in the death of 20.000 members of the Nuer tribe and countless thousands dead among other tribes. It has been estimated that over 2 million civilians are still suffering from displacement and many are still afraid to return home from humanitarian camps. Salva Kiir actions are only serving to divide and kill the citizens of Southern Sudan. He can no longer be our leader”.

Objective

The "KIIR MUST GO CAMPAIGN" was formed by some section of South Sudan citizens with the objectives of:
Informing to the world that president Kiir have lost his legitimacy as the president of the country.
Salva Kiir trained a private army with some of his military comrades along tribal lines,the militia group is called Duk ku Bany in Dinka language. The english translation literally means ‘”rescue the president” this army was train in place called LURI in Juba stealthly .President Kiir and some of his military commanders are the ones responsible for funding,training and arming this militia group in classified operation to kill innocent Nuer.
The campaign was form to tell the world leaders that Kiir arranged a coup as a pretext to purge his opponents and install a military dictatorship.
SPLM party members were demanding for internal reforms before the party elections in 2015,but Kiir figured out the reforms with dilute his influence over the party.
The campaign takes the opportuntiy to inform the world that South Sudan is a home to 64 tribes ,who are collectively aspiring for freedom,justice,security,equality and prosperity not to be dominated by a single tribe.
