SPLM-IO CHAIRMAN RESPONDS

In an official response to the criticism from peace initiative to reunite the SPLM/SPLA brokered by the party of Tanzanian president Julius Kikwete, SPLM-IO Chairman Dr Riek Machar writes the principle reasons to why they shunned the ceremony to sign the reunification of SPLM in Juba.

This week a team of former detainees known as FD ,led by the reinstated secretary general Pagan Amum, jetted into Juba in company of South African Deputy President and Tanzanian Foreign Minister as witnesses to the signing ceremony. There was notable absence of SPLM-IO team to sign the Arusha Agreement to  SPLM (IO) are signatories.
