AUTHORS OF VIOLENCE!.

Finally, the full characters of the origins of political violence has begun to emerge. What we witnessed today in Ntungamo are clashes between factions of the ruling party NRM. Suppoters of NRM Museveni and NRM Amama‘s Go Forward brand today descended into a full scale battle.

The violent clashes between the NRM factions putting our country into a perilous path of violence. The regime deliberately militarized many youths to form a militia group called “crime preventers” for the purpose of intimidating, harassing and kidnapping opposition members.
At the beginning of this elections, Amama Mbabazi heralded himself as the only candidate who can guarantee a peaceful transition of power in Uganda. Others got convinced but some of us objected to that assertion since, as a former "Super minister", he was central in the creation of a rogue regime.

Whereas showing vigorous support to a particular candidate is a constitutional right; the use of force to destabilize a rival candidate's campaign event is condemnable, uncalled and unlawful.

As FDC we condemn the actions of both NRM factions, aware that our presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye has consistently advocated for lawful and peaceful protests against the dictatorship.

Although the Besigye approach has been rejected and conveniently undermined by the state that it promotes hooliganism causes mass disruption of business, we believe use of violence to settle political scores puts the country on the brink of sliding anarchy.

The fight in Ntungamo demonstrates that the Besigye approach is the best for Uganda in the long run and we declare that any remarks to the contrary will be deemed as malicious.

It is now clear that regime is sponsoring instability and promoting hooliganism planting goons within our core support base but we will not sacrifice our values of lawful protest to challenge and confront the regime. We demand that the NRM regime must not be reactionary.

For two days, the police have resorted to use the same tricks of embedding crime creators within our crowds to target our supporters and cause a scene that will enable the security agents to intervene.

Our supporters have become too vigilant and have apprehended the culprits whom they hand over to police for investigations although we know they are later set free even without caution. We are also aware that this form of sabotatage is in part sponsored and facilitated clandestine operation is being facilitated by the CMI (Central military intelligence) by providing cars and fuel to the goons follow our events.

They are using former convicts to deploy in our campaign rallies like in Mityana, where vigilant traced them vehicles reg no. UAT 953 V.

It is clear these methods are being deployed countrywide with the intention of destabilizing the elections, after the NRM became paranoid over the possibility that they will lose the 2016 election.

In the district of Mbarara, its reported the following cars have been deployed to pick opposition members one by one. these are the registration number plates: UAT 246B.UAW 558 U.UAR 036A. UAR 152F. UAU 710E. UAW 926C.UAX 079D.

To conclude actually this piece was intended to protest against the daily monitor online team ,who have consistently demonstrated unprofessionalism and biasness in their reporting against candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye. In the daily monitor face book page they either erroneously or deliberately reported that the combined team of NRM and FDC supporters in Ntungamo were responsible for attacking the Go-Forward campaign in Ntungamo ,however watching from the footage of the violent scene from a news clip ,there is no indication or slightest evidence that FDC supporters were implicated in the brawl.

We have been closely keeping tabs and monitoring the hostile and unbalanced reporting you have been undertaking to give Dr. Kizza Besigye a low rating in this campaign, but let’s make it clear we shall soon engage a concerted campaign
